Gili Meno is one of three small islands, apart from Gili Trawangan and Gili Air, which are becoming marine tourism areas. Here there is a bird park which has a collection of rare birds from Indonesia and abroad. The sand is white and still natural. On Gili Meno motorized vehicles are very limited, as is the use of electricity. Alternative vehicles are only bicycles and cidomo.
On this Gili you can snorkel or swim while enjoying the corals and their biodiversity. On this island, the chirping of birds can soothe your heart and mind. If you are not satisfied with just hearing the chirping, you can also hold it directly by visiting the Bird Park.
Gili Meno waters are also unique, because there is a point on Gili Meno Wall, where turtles usually swim from morning to evening. Tourists who love water sports will definitely prefer to be here.
You can also do activities around the island, there are several points that can be visited. In addition to beaches scattered throughout the island, tourists can visit lakes, mangrove forests, turtle breeding and bird parks.
Around the beach, tourists can also relax in huts (local people call them boulder) while enjoying young coconut water, sunbathing, playing swings, playing volleyball to chatting with local residents.
The sand on the west side of Gili Meno is not as smooth as on the east side. Therefore, tourists tend to prefer to relax on the outskirts of the beaches around the port. The beaches in the western area of the island are more used for water sports.
On Gili Meno, there is Lake Meno surrounded by mangroves with an area of about 6 hectares. Various seabirds often stop in this ecotourism area. Not infrequently local residents fishing on the edge of this lake.
Don’t forget you can also continue the journey by visiting the turtle hatchery and hatchery area. Upon arrival, you will see four ponds measuring about 1 x 1 meter. In each pond there are many young green turtles which in time will be released into their natural habitat.
